We are looking for an engaged and service-oriented Store Manager for a temporary position lasting until September 2026.
About us
For 100 years, the Technical Museum has demonstrated how curiosity, creativity, and collaboration can solve seemingly impossible challenges. We are Sweden's technical museum, a cultural house for technology and science that attracts 400,000 visitors annually. We are also a mobile operation – Tekniska on Tour and The Cell – a stage and learning environment in the life science cluster in Hagastan. In 2025, we will meet new visitors in Tensta.

About the position
We are looking for a Store Manager who can drive and develop our museum shop. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations, ensuring a high level of service, and optimizing the store's assortment based on the museum's profile and visitors' needs. You will have an operational role in the shop, actively working with sales and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and inspiring for our visitors.
Your responsibilities include:
· Responsible for the daily operations of the museum shop.
· Ensure a high level of service and a good customer experience.
· Continuously optimize and develop the store's assortment.
· Manage product orders, inventory, and stock management.
· Actively work with sales and cash handling.
· Create and maintain inspiring store displays.
Your profile
You are passionate about service and sales and have experience running a store. As a leader, you are organized, action-oriented, and have a positive attitude. You have a good understanding of customer behavior and can adapt the store's offerings to maximize sales. You are used to working independently but also thrive in a team.
Qualifications:
· Experience in retail operations and sales, at least 3–4 years.
· Experience in a supervisory role within retail.
· Good administrative skills.
· Ability to handle stressful situations.
· Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Meritorious:
· Experience in purchasing and assortment development.
· Knowledge of additional languages beyond Swedish and English.
· Experience with cash systems and inventory management.
About the position
The position is a temporary role lasting until September 2026.
